Intern at UCP National!

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), a leading service provider and advocate for individuals with a range of disabilities and their families, offers internships for motivated and energetic college students to work in our national office in downtown Washington, D.C. The program is part of My Life Without Limits (, UCP’s resource for people with a range of disabilities. UCP’s national office supports our affiliate network (located throughout the United States and Canada) through marketing and communications, fundraising, and programmatic support. We also provide leadership through information/referral and public policy, as well as public education initiatives.

Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:

  • Affiliate Services/Public Education and Outreach
  • Development/Fundraising
  • Marketing/Communications
  • Public Policy
  • Information and Referral Services

Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, a team player with the willingness to pitch in where help may be needed, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Internships are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year. Interns should be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week during their internship. Internship positions are unpaid, however, interns may receive academic credit if permitted by their university!
